Halo 3 Theater

Pwnage.

I’m eternally sorry guys but I just can’t shut up about Halo 3. It’s awesome!
I was supposed to go over some notes for tomorrow’s exam on Relational Database Management Systems (*yawn*), but instead I spent the entire evening playing Halo 3 online with my friend Kai; which totally rocked.

The thing is, my actual point wasn’t really to talk about Halo 3 but more about how Web 2.0 it is. Bungie has put a hell of a lot of time and effort into making Halo 3 incredible. There’s a feature in Halo 3 called Theater, which automatically saves 25 of your most recent gameplays onto your Xbox 360; be it single or multiplayer. All this can be played back from the Theater. Then, if you see a moment in the game that just blows your mind or you’ve just annihilated 4 guys with a rocket launcher online, you can stop the video, pan the camera out and take a screenshot. Hell, you can even make a video clip of the video clip you’re watching!

The best thing about this is that the game automatically uploads your screenshots to Bungie.net, where if you’ve created an account, you can click through your images. Even save them on your own computer and upload them to the Internets. All in Hi-Def, baby! You can also share the screenshots and videos you’ve made through the File Share feature of the game. I mean talk about value for money.

Bungie, we love you.

Repairing the damages

Jesus christ fixing mistakes is tiresome. Some of this code is just sometimes indecipherable. Also, I can’t get my lastest theme to work with Wordpress 2.3 (to what I updated my previous version and which is in part responsible for all this crap). If this wasn’t just a website (I keep telling myself that in order to maintain some sort of mental stability), I would’ve probably made a dash for the nearest open window. Fuck.

Note to self: Take backups regularly of stuff online in case of fuckups.
