Yesterday was a continuation of Tuesday’s shopping spree. We headed out to a huge mall that specializes in electronics and browsed the hundreds of small shops full of absolutely anything with a circuit board. Just goes to show how small Helsinki is. I had my sights set on buying an iPod Touch and with a little bargaining, got myself a 8GB iPod Touch and a clear plastic protective case for just under $500, which is about 250€. So all in all I saved a pretty decent amount of money, since I got a cash discount and I get a $50 tax rebate when I leave the country. Yey!
After walking through the mall, it was time for lunch. The food here is fantastic and costs hardly anything. We’ve been to several different ‘food courts’ that have a variety of types of food from different countries. They’ve been fantastic as sometimes you just don’t fancy eating the same kind of food from day to day. We’ve also visited a local Burger King once and plan on going out for pizza :)
