After a grueling 30 hours of travel from Singapore via Hong Kong, we made it back to Finland with Ville on Monday. This week has gone past really quickly; mostly because we arrived on Monday, I spent Tuesday at home being flu-ridden, Wednesday was the Finnish Independence Day and Thursday I spent with an immense hangover :) Come Friday, I didn’t have the energy to do anything, so I stayed at home. And here we are, Saturday night. Being back in Finland has it’s perks (I secretly missed my Xbox 360) but all in all it sucks. The weather’s atrocious (rain, sleet, dark, cold; pick one) and after 2 weeks of +30° and sunshine, there isn’t a molecule in my body that can be arsed to do anything.
After getting back, I decided to reward myself — early xmas present — with a few new games; Guitar Hero III, Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Mass Effect. The first two I’ve already played through once (what else is there to do when you’re sick?). I’ve been playing Mass Effect for only around 9 hours (which relative to the lenght of the game is nothing), and I’m totally in love. It’s probably the best game, ever. It beats the hell out of Halo 3, which until now i held in very high regard. The storytelling in ME is just incredible. Not to mention the graphics - wow.
What I really should be doing is concentrating on my final exams that are up in just under 2 weeks, but you can imagine how well that’s panning out :)
