Song Failed

While sitting on the couch at home this morning, I decided it might be a laugh to tackle the infamous Dragonforce song Through Fire And Flames, in Guitar Hero III. I’d tried it a couple of times on the Hard difficulty but I’d never gotten past the intro. On Medium, I can play it through — no problem. Now for some peculiar reason, I got past the CTS-inducing intro and as I was playing, I came to the sudden realization that I might actually make it through the entire song (which by the way is a wrist-crushing 7 minutes and 24 seconds long). I saved all my Star Power for the crazy solos and got through them. Nearing the end of the song, wrists and fingers pulsating from pain I failed — at fucking 95%. My limbs couldn’t take it anymore. I tried it later again, got to 95% twice and once to 98%. During these unsuccessful attempts at beating said song, I came to a sudden realization; this is

Fucking Impossible

I just thought I’d share this with you. The thing that really pisses me off is that some 9-year-old kid beat this song on Expert. Argh. That really pisses me off.

I’m going to sleep.

Hackers. Fuck You. Fuuuuuuck You.

I was minding my own business at home, surfing the web and fixing little problems and glitches on my site. I update my changes, reload my front page and I’m greeted with an unfamiliar front page:

binaryeuphoria hacked

Fuck. Words escape me. It seems these little fuckers — Shadowman, Hypnosis, Prime Suspect, Madtoxic and so on and so forth — decided it would be fun to exploit the PHP and MySQL used by Wordpress and fuck around with my site. Fortunately the little muppets only really screwed with my index-page so the damage wasn’t irreversible; although that doesn’t make me any less pissed off.

I got the damage repaired quite quickly but I’m still rather angry. My pulse is slowly returning to normal.

Boot Camp Blues

After I got my Macbook Pro, I decided to install Boot Camp so I count have the best of both worlds; there is some software that I use that works better on Windows. The only real hassle with Boot Camp is needing to restart my computer everytime I need to use Windows. And since that might be several times during one sitting, it’s a nuisance. This problem got solved when VMWare Fusion came out; it’s a virtual machine software that allows you to run another OS inside of your main OS. So in practice, that means running Windows inside of Mac OS X. And it’s the dog’s bollocks. Saves a huge amount of time and nerves.

Now sometimes I still need to boot my Mac into Windows since using Windows through VMWare Fusion doesn’t really let me use the graphics card to its full capabilities; and this mainly for playing games. So I decided to install my Command & Conquer: The First Decade collection onto Windows and play a little Red Alert. But alas! My keyboard that works perfectly with Fusion, doesn’t do shit when Windows in solely on. Wtf? The problem it seems has to do with the keyboard drivers that are in fact, missing. So I try and reinstall them from the CD I burned with Boot Camp Assistant but that just doesn’t do shit. So now I’m going to try and correct the situation by updating Boot Camp to 1.4b and burning another CD with the drivers and hope it install them this time.

Talk about annoying.
